General FAQ's
You can create a listing for your business, accommodation, property for sale, property to rent or event.
Free 'Essential' listings are only available for Business listings. Accommodation, Property for sale and Property to rent listings are all 'Premium' listings. Event listings can only be created by Premium Business listing subscribers.
An enhanced 'Premium' listing for your business gives you much more features than a free 'Essential' listing. These benefits include; an enhanced detailed description, a bulleted list of key points, a listing page banner image, gallery images, website, email and social media links as well as opening hours for your business. You can also create events for your business.
The price of a Premium listing depends on the type of listing and the location. All the prices are displayed on the Listing prices table and are for a 12 month subscription. (Please note that VAT is included in the price where applicable).
After you have created an account, you will be able to create your listing and make a secure payment with a debit/credit card through the website. Premium Business and Accommodation listings automatically renew every 12 months. Property for sale and Property to rent listings are subject to a one-off payment which is paid in full in advance. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information.
Once you've created your listing and made a payment, your listing will need to be approved before it's published on the website. This usually takes a few working days and you will receive a notification once your listing has been approved and published.
Your listing lasts for 12 months from the date of publication or for as long as your paid annual membership is valid. Free business listings last indefinitely.
Premium Business and Accommodation listings are renewed automatically every 12 months using the same payment details from your original subscription payment. If any of your payment or personal details change, you must inform us immediately to prevent any loss of service to your listing.
Only subscribers of Premium Business listings can create events by logging into their account and selecting; 'Create New Listing' - 'Event'.
Yes - it's simple to upgrade your free Business listing to an enhanced Premium listing; just get in touch and we will upgrade your listing for you.
We have limited spaces for 'featured' listing positions which appear at the top of specific pages of the website. Please get in touch for more information.
As long as your business is based in Whitstable or another part of Kent, you can list it.
If your listing location isn't displayed as one of the main location options, simply select; 'Rest of Kent' as your option.
Yes - you can create multiple listings for each different listing type. If you're an estate agency and want to list multiple properties for sale and properties to rent please get in touch for pricing options. We are currently giving away free trial periods to a limited number of agents.

Yes - login to your account and select; 'Your submissions'. You can then select the listing you want to edit. Once you've finished editing your listing, click 'submit'. Any edits you've made will be reflected almost immediately.
When you sign-up for a user account, the username you create can't be changed and by default will be displayed alongside any listings you create and will be publicly visible. If you want to use a name that appears publicly with your listings that's different to your username, please get in touch for further information.
Yes - you can list a club, organisation, association, institution, society, class, group and more.
Login to your account and select; 'Your submissions'. You can then select the listing you wish to delete. Please note that once you have deleted a listing, any previous content and edits you've made will be lost and cannot be recovered.
You can upload your own avatar image that will be displayed on your listing page, from your user account dashboard; 'Account details' section.

Please check that you have filled out all the required form fields and entered your details correctly. If you still have difficulty please get in touch.
Please make sure any images you upload to your listing are within a maximum file size of 20mb and are either of the following accepted file types; JPG, TIF, PNG or GIF.
If any images you are uploading to your listing 'freeze' please refresh your browser page and check your listing to see whether the upload has been successful. If not, please check your internet connection and try again.
If you have a problem when paying for your listing, please get in touch and we will be able to help you make a payment.

Listings can be created by all types of businesses, including; attractions, clubs, institutions, organisations, associations, groups, restaurants, cafes, shops, professional services, tradespeople, people profiles and more.
Yes - you can list more than one business. If you create more then one premium business listing, each one would be treated individually and be charged as separate subscriptions.

Business listings have different business types that you can select for your listing. There are 6 main categories (emboldened) to choose from, each with their own category-specific types. You can select up to 3 different types for your listing (which can include a main category itself) from any of these 6 main categories as long as they are relevant to your listing. The selections you make will affect which results pages your listing will be featured on. If you want to edit the types you've previously selected, login to your account and select; 'Your submissions'. You can then select the listing you want to edit.
Please select the main category that matches your business closest. If you still can't find a suitable category, please get in touch and we will see whether we can add a new category type to the options.
The key points are there to help you highlight the most important aspects of your business. If you are a tradesperson you could include the type of work you specialise in.

Event FAQ's
Only subscribers of Premium Business listings can create events by logging into their account and selecting; 'Create New Listing' - 'Event'.
You can list as many events as you want. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further information.
Yes - for example, you may want to create an event to promote an open day for your business, service, school or visitor attraction.

Accommodation FAQ's
You can create a listing for your holiday cottage, hotel, bed and breakfast, guesthouse, campsite or caravan park.
If you advertise your accommodation on another website that enables you to accept online bookings through their platform, you can use your listing to promote this external page. For example; you may want to use your listing to promote your Airbnb or Holiday Lettings page to help generate more bookings.

When your property is sold you must edit your listing to indicate that the status of your property is 'Sold' by using the required label. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information. If you're an agent and list multiple properties, you can delete a listing for a property that has been sold so you can create a new listing in its place.
The labels are used to indicate whether the status of your property listing meets any of the following conditions; 'Sold STC', 'Under offer', 'New build' or 'Exclusive' all of which can be selected for your listing. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions regarding the use of these labels and the status of your property listing.
An EPC is an energy performance certificate and it is a legal requirement that all property that is marketed for sale carries a valid EPC. If you need help creating an EPC you can find further details by using an internet search.
