The Strode Park Foundation is a charity founded in 1946 who provide vital care and support services for individuals living with a wide range of disabilities. A friendly and family-centred organisation, they believe in independence, well-being and choice and promote these ideals within the services, enabling people to live their lives the way they want to.

Part of the charity’s fundraising within the community is their Theatre in the Park, a large amphitheatre venue situated just outside of Herne Bay. A popular destination for gigs and concerts, the Theatre has provided a fantastic atmosphere for live performances since 1992. With a seating capacity for 300 people and a purpose-built access for individuals with disabilities the Theatre is inclusive and accommodating.

As an entirely voluntary run venture, all the profits made from events, ticket sales and refreshments contribute towards the work of the Strode Park Foundation. It is famed for its ability to attract the best tribute acts in the country and the ever-changing line ups are what’s keeping locals constantly coming back for more.

The Theatre in the Park is also available for hire and is a great destination for private functions and events. As the only outdoor amphitheatre in Kent it offers a unique experience in a fresh and vibrant location. Facilities include a picnic area, free parking and a licensed bar. There is also hot food available at performances.
