About Art Decades
Richard Dean's 'Art Decades' series turns its attention to the world of rock music — the stories behind the records, the culture around them, and the people who made them. Two talks come to The Horsebridge. Music at the Movies (Thursday 20 August) explores how music and musicians have been portrayed on film, across biopics and beyond. Money Changes Everything (Thursday 29 October) looks at the tangled relationship between rock and commerce, and the compromises, triumphs and disasters it's produced. Both start at 6pm, with tickets £7–£8, at The Horsebridge on Horsebridge Road — Whitstable's arts and community centre, moments from the harbour.
