About The Canterbury Tales
Whitstable's next generation of performers takes the stage as the Lindley Players Youth Group present The Canterbury Tales, Mike Poulton's spirited adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucer's much-loved classic. A lively band of travellers sets off for Canterbury, passing the miles by trading stories of love, adventure, mischief and mystery. As each pilgrim takes their turn, a whole world of colourful characters comes to life through humour, drama and plenty of imagination — given fresh energy here by the talented young cast of the Youth Group. It runs at the Playhouse from Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 November 2026, with evening performances nightly at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are £10–£12, with the Playhouse bar open before the show.
